The Fire Chief serves the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Port Neches Fire Department (PNFD), and is appointed by the City Manager and approved by the City Council. His/her role, in addition to overseeing the operations of the entire department, includes representing PNFD management on the day-to-day issues, business practices, and process of the PNFD.
