Message From the Fire Chief

The City of Port Neches Fire Department (PNFD) members are honored and privileged to serve our community through various missions, including emergency services, community engagement, and safety education.

As Fire Chief, I have the privilege and honor to serve this wonderful historic community rich with tradition and charm. Further, I am truly fortunate to work alongside our organization's dedicated and talented fire service professionals, both career and volunteer. As an all-hazards emergency response organization, our highly trained and professional firefighters respond to approximately 1,300 incidents annually, including structure fires, medical emergencies, car accidents, vehicle fires, hazardous material releases, and technical rescues. The department also conducts fire safety inspections of local businesses and investigates all fires within the city limits. Additionally, PNFD members are ready to respond to water rescue emergencies on our local waterways and aquatic environments.

As a professional emergency services organization, we are committed to being active community partners. We shall strive to nurture a collaborative environment with stakeholders, including the public, business, and industry sectors. Only by accomplishing this can we create a culture of safety and build a city with the highest quality of life.

Finally, we value the trust you place in us, and we remain committed to upholding the highest standards; as such, we shall act as stewards of your expectations and the resources you provide to the PNFD.

Faithfully,

Eloy Vega
Fire Chief
