Fire Suppresion

Your fire department, with one fire chief, one assistant chief, 12 paid firefighters and 20 volunteers stands ready to serve you and the community.

The Fire Department provides vital functions throughout the city. Many of the services provided are for the safety and well-being of every citizen whether providing protection from life-threatening fires or just a friendly helping hand. Some of these services include:

First on scene Emergency Medical Services – emergency medical services are provided free of charge for the citizens of Port Neches. Call 911 if there is an emergency and you need assistance;

  • Fire Education – programs on various aspects of public fire safety will be presented to any group free of charge;
  • Access to a Combined Space & High Angle Rescue Team
  • Automatic External Defibrillator trained personnel.
  • Water rescue boat and access to certified lifeguards and scuba divers.
  • Fire Station Tours – tours are available at the Port Neches fire station. You may schedule a tour by calling the duty Captain 722-5885.
  • Hazwoper trained personnel with some Hazardous Material response equipment and access to a Hazmat Team.
