Fire Hydrant Testing

Beginning the week of May 10th, 2021, the Port Neches Fire Department will be conducting fire hydrant testing in various areas of the city Monday through Thursday, weather permitting.

During this time, you may notice dirty water when the tests are conducted in your neighborhood.  Although the water may not be as clear as normal, it remains safe for human consumption.  Be aware that during the time of discoloration, it is possible the water could cause stains in clothing if used in the washer.

These tests should be complete by the end of June, 2021.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Water Department at (409) 722-4024 or the Fire Department at (409) 722-5885.
